HOMILY FOR SATURDAY:4TH WEEK OF EASTER

Acts 13:44-52; Psalm 97; John 14:7-14

In the first reading, the Jews rejected God’s word and they became unworthy of eternal life. What is our response to God’s word? In the gospel, Jesus continues to teach his disciples that he and the Father are one and that in believing in him they are believing in the Father. Do you believe this?

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen.

Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
