HOMILY FOR FRIDAY:5TH WEEK OF EASTER

Acts 15:22-31; Psalm 57; John 15:12-17

The Council in Jerusalem  sends Paul and Barnabas back to Antioch to strengthen the people. These were servants of God. It is not degrading to be called servant of God. Moses, Joshua, David, Peter, James, Jude were all servants of God. In the gospel, Jesus says I do not call you servants but friends. We are called to intimacy with Jesus Christ. This is Jesus’ choice of friendship and the propelling force is love. Draw me nearer Lord.

Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen.

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

I’ve been browsing on-line more than 3 hours as of
late, but I by no means found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty value enough for me. Personally,
if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you
probably did, the internet will likely be a lot more helpful than ever before.
