1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-11; PSALM 118; LUKE 7:36-50
Paul gives a personal account of his message and the source of his authority. His message is true and his authority is the Scripture. He speaks of the resurrection; a new life in Christ Jesus. Yes a woman in the gospel received this new life. Jesus forgave her many sins because of the love and worship she expressed. She kissed the feet of Jesus; a sign that she regrets and rejects all her past lovers. Every true penitent regrets and rejects his or her past life to pick up a new way of life. The host of Jesus did not do much of that to Jesus. Beloved, we must never forget the role of sincere love and worship in prayer. We must make every effort to reject satan and all his empty promises. Almighty God, our creator and guide,
may we serve You with all our hearts
and know Your forgiveness in our lives.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
