Job 42:1-3, 5-6, 12-17; Psalm 119; Luke 10:17-24
Job’s life is a clear demonstration of the fact that no condition is permanent. The first reading tells us that God rewards Job beyond his earlier fortunes. Thus, he became in happier man. Similarly, in the Gospel, Christ’s disciples came from their missionary work filled with joy that they had authority over the devil. There is a special joy in doing God’s work. Beloved, don’t allow that challenge to steal your jour joy; remember the disciples took nothing along yet they made it back in joy. Don’t give up; your story will change for better and like Job, we will receive great reward if we remain faithful..
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
