HOMILY FOR TUESDAY THE TWENTY-SEVENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

Galatians 1:13-24; Psalm 139; Luke 10:38-42

In the Gospel reading, Martha was distracted with much serving, many of us are anxious and troubled with many things that are really not needful. Mary listened to Jesus and got the better part. Service and attention are necessary keys in hospitality but the most essential key in hospitality is attention. We must endeavor to listen to the Father and know what is in his heart before going to execute. Paul before his conversion was so passionate doing his will until he encountered Christ. Beloved, we may end up doing our will if we don’t go to Christ. Lord not my will but your will be done.

Let us pray

Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that You help me to do the will of God. I want to always do those things that God created me to do and therefore gain your love and the best part – eternal life. Amen
