THE WAYS OF THE PATRIARCHS
The patriarchs of the Bible, when narrowly defined, are Abraham, his son Isaac, and Isaac’s son Jacob, also named Israel, the ancestor of the Israelites. In the course of our prayers and studies we shall view them beyond this narrow count. But for now, these three figures are referred to collectively as the patriarchs, and the period in which they lived is known as the patriarchal age. They play significant roles in the Old Testament also called the Hebrew scripture. They had immeasurable impart in the New Testament and their ways and example has so much for us in this generation.
DAY 2 (Abraham)
Genesis 13:8
So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.”
Abraham and Lot became so prosperous that they could not live side by side in the land of Canaan. We are told that “the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together” (verse 6). This was because the livestock and servants of Abraham and Lot were coming into conflict (verse 7). It became necessary for them to operate separately. Abraham’s approach to dealing with this issue holds keys to helping us approach potential conflicts with our family members and other people.

Heavenly Father, we pray that you may mold us into a family who observes the right ways of living; ways that are pleasing to you. Unite us in love so that we may count on each other in every situation we face. Give us the strength to handle difficulties in ways that promote harmony and peace. Let all our eyes focus on the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Let everything we do be a service to you. Amen.
We would suffer and perish if there is no physical and spiritual sound health in the family. We Pray that God should send divine health into all families especially those who suffer from difficult diseases. Lord God come and destroy all forms of sickness in Jesus name. Jesus revive my health both spiritual and physical
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he” (Proverbs 29:18). We pray for families that lack vision that God should pour out vision into every member of the family. We pray against all kinds of stagnancy and declare progression into such families.
Lord God as many families that are suffering disunity, hatred, malice and attack against one another grant that by the reason of this prayer the peace of Christ will visit them and the power of God will over shadow so that joy will be on their lips.
