THE WAYS OF THE PATRIARCHS
The patriarchs of the Bible, when narrowly defined, are Abraham, his son Isaac, and Isaac’s son Jacob, also named Israel, the ancestor of the Israelites. In the course of our prayers and studies we shall view them beyond this narrow count. But for now, these three figures are referred to collectively as the patriarchs, and the period in which they lived is known as the patriarchal age. They play significant roles in the Old Testament also called the Hebrew scripture. They had immeasurable impart in the New Testament and their ways and example has so much for us in this generation.
DAY 3 (Isaac)
Genesis 21:6
Then Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears of this will laugh with me.”
Isaac is one of the most faithful biblical characters . He is the promised son of Abraham and Sarah. His name means laughter, which is derived from the reaction of his mother when she heard that she will have a child in her old age. He later married Rebekah and had two sons, Esau and Jacob. Beloved, there is nothing too difficult for God to do. The story of Isaac started in Genesis 21, his birth is the second most amazing in the Bible, the first is the birth of Christ. His mother was 90 and Abraham was 100. His birth was the fulfillment of a promise God had made to Abraham roughly 20 years before, showing that if we wait for God in faith He will always keep His promises to us. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

- Lessons:
- God still give people reasons to laugh and celebrate.
- God is in no hurry to work out His plans. He is never too late; He is always on time.
- Abraham used gentle words to prevent an escalation of the issue.
- Faith is tested so it might be proven to be genuine. A faith that cannot endure trial is really no faith at all.
- God’s word is absolutely sure, in times of doubt and discouragement we need to come to the Word of God to check our spiritual lives and to remind ourselves of His faithfulness.
- God has a set time for everything. It is important that we learn this lesson well. God has an appointed time for accomplishing His will. Nothing is left to chance. “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born” ( 3:1,2).

√ My Lord and my God, you opened the womb of Sarah even at the age of 90, O God of fruitfulness, let every infertile womb open in the name of Jesus. Father give twins and triplets and increase their joy, restore the years they have lost and make them shining stars in the name of Jesus.
√My Lord and my God, you have made the galaxies and given manifestation to all things at their proper time. Lord i declare that this is my time and this is my season for manifestation in the name of Jesus.
√ My Lord and my God, sanctify my family and uplift the faith and spiritual life of my children. Turn their hearts towards you, help them to know you, love you, and to become your shining examples to others in the name of Jesus.
