HOMILY FOR SATURDAY THE THIRTY SECOND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR II

3 John 5-8; Psalm 1; Luke 18:1-8

Through the parable of the unscrupulous judge and the poor widow we are told by Christ in the Gospel that God will definitely hear and answer our prayers if we persist. Often times we are easily discouraged when we don’t get desired answer to our prayers. Beloved, we must learn to approach God in faith and trust and spend time with him. God pends answers most times so that we can spend time with him. If you pray only when you are in trouble; you are in trouble.

Let us pray

Be thou glorified oh Lord my God. Father, In the name of your son Jesus, I ask that you increase my faith in you. Help me to remember that you are a mighty God able to do what man cannot do. Help us to develop intimate relationship with you through prayers and charity. Amen.
