HOMILY FOR SATURDAY THE THIRTY- FOURTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR II

Apocalypse 22:1-7; Psalm 95; Luke 21:34-36

We are given a picture of our eternal home in today’s first reading. God is light and all those who shall make it to heaven shall live in never-ending light because the Lord will be shining on them. If we must live in that light we must quit the works of darkness now. The best time to repent is now. Therefore, we have to be ready at all times because we do not know when Christ will come.

Let us pray

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
