Isaiah 29:17-24; Psalm 27; Matthew 9:27-31
Isaiah speaks on the coming of the Messiah and the reign of a better life in his days. He says that the lowly will be raised up, evil men will be silenced and shame will be removed. Jesus is the fulfillment of this prophecy; he was born to save us from sin and shame and in today’s gospel he restored the sight of two blind men by reason of their faith. He removed the shame of blindness and ignorance from them. An encounter with Jesus would liberate us from our physical and spiritual darkness. Let us approach him in faith for our own restoration, enlightenment and salvation.
Let us pray
You have done so much for me and kept on blessing me. Grant me the grace Father to be docile to your promptings. When the enemy of my soul comes to seduce me to sin against you please help me to run to your Son Jesus for safety and strength. Please keep me safe from all dangers and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Amen.
