The ants of the nation mock the giant of Africa
The deadliest virus flies with the wings of insecurity
Yet carriers and bearers are saying no to isolation
These are herdsmen going after the heads of men.
The highways are the play ground for these slayers
And our local forest the abode for these foreigners.
The labour of farmers now vitamins for vipers;
Yet the groaning thud of hunger itch her hearers.
Safe departure but unfortunate destination
The irony of travellers giving tears for bread.
The thought of travelling rots the bones;
She cries! Yet her tears were sentenced.
Policies are the funniest stories on papers
And the sweet lines of our political brothers.
In truth, we rend words that wither our arms
With incredible leaders that speak off the cuff.
These men spill the beans to the invaders
The only safety we profess is in God
He can spruce up the beauty of this nation
And heal the viral infection of our land.
