EXODUS 32:7-14; PSALM 106; JOHN 5:31-47
“You place your hopes on Moses but Moses will be your accuser. If you really believed him you would believe me too, since it was I that he was writing about.” Jesus made this statement to show that his listeners had a blind mentality. The miracles done never made deep impression on them. They did not even recognize that he has been sent by God the Father. Today there are people with blind mentality; all that is done and demonstrated for enlightenment remain unproductive and fruitless. When the mind is blind the eyes are useless. If our minds are not open the things will see and hear cannot bring about transformation. Lord have mercy on us who are still blind to your presence and your saving plan for us today.
LET US PRAY
We invoke your mercy in humble prayer, O Lord, that you may cause us, your servants, corrected by penance and schooled by good works, to persevere sincerely in your commands and come safely to the Easter festivities. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
