DAY ONE (1/4/2021)
1 Sam1:15
“Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord.
MEDITATION
Life itself is not always a bed of roses. There are times it presents us with negative experiences and these experiences can be approved by heaven sometimes. (And the Lord kept Hannah from having children 1Sam.1:6, Job 1:12 ). Often times, situations can be very awkward and unpleasant like the case of Hannah. In all, prayer was her most efficient tool to overcome the ordeals of life. When she did that in less than 365 days her situation turned for better.
The lyrics of a popular liturgical song says:
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble any where ?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayers…..

3 Lessons:
Sometimes, life can be unfair. God permits such for greater good.
When life presents negative experiences, we should not be weary or weak but to apply the antidote as used by Hannah – Prayer.
Hannah went to the Lord by herself. Seeking help from men when the route to God is widely opened and accessible is the commonest mistake we make in troubled times.
Stories have had people who fell into the hands of false prophets and prophecies that ended up aggravating their problems. According to the song writer, let us learn to always take our troubles to the Lord in prayers.

- O God of Hannah help me that I may know the power of prayers and devotions.
- Today, O God my father, I pour my troubles before you, I ask that you hear me and turn then to them to testimonies in the name of Jesus.
- I pledge my unalloyed allegiance to you O God as you take away my troubles, I shall serve thee with my time, talents and treasures.
- Should there be forces that do not want me saved, my Father disappoint them in the name of Jesus
- May all those who have laughed at me because of my ordeals, see me glorified by the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.
