HOMILY FOR MONDAY AFTER EASTER (5/4/2021)

Acts 2:14, 22-33; Psalm 16; Matthew 28:8-15

On the day of Pentecost Peter stood up with the Eleven and addressed the crowd in a loud voice. Peter spoke of Christ to the people. This is regarded as the sermon in Christian history. This is an invitation to speak of Christ to the people around you. It could be your first time but you never can tell the fruit therein. Peter shared his encounter with the risen Lord you too can blessed others with the wealth of inspiration and lesson you have gathered in your relationship with Jesus. Predominantly, we are called to be Christ witnesses to world. Similarly, in the gospel Jesus asked that his disciples should meet him up in Galilee. Galilee represents normality; that is everyday life. Beloved, we too are going to meet Jesus largely in the activities of daily life. Therefore, let us approach our daily realities with a sense of love.

Let us pray

O God, who give constant increase to your Church by new offspring, grant that your servants may hold fast in their lives to the Sacrament they have received in faith. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
