Homily for monday the twenthy-second sunday in ordinary time year 1 (30/8/2021)

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Psalm 96; Luke 4:16-30

Jesus preached to his own people but they rejected his message. Prophetic voices being rejected by their own was a common phenomenon in the past and continues to be today. People don’t see the working of God in familiar preachers or persons. Am I inclined to accept the message of God or reject it? Today, let us consciously look for the extraordinary among the ordinary. Beloved, let us remain faithful to God and just St. Paul says we  be taken up to heaven.

LET US PRAY

Father of mercy and love as we begin a new week fill us with love and grace to fulfill your mandates this week and always. Amen.
