Zech. 2:1-5.10-11a, Ps. Jer. 31, Lk.9:43b-45.
Jesus says “Let these words sink into your ears”. We must let the words of Jesus sink into our ears; it should take root in our lives and bring about authentic conversion and dedication. To let his words sink into our ears is to get his teaching, mission and purpose straight. We must accept his message for what it is rather than twisting them to suit our personal desires. The first reading assures us of Christ’s incarnate presence. Let remain firm in faith knowing that the Lord will keep us, as a shepherd keeps his flock.
LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, give our youth the grace and wisdom as they face the challenges of life, and keep them humble in heart and teachable in spirit. May they learn to look to Jesus day by day knowing that without Him they can do nothing but in His strength He will lead and guide them in all things through Christ our Lord. Amen.
