“Lord, to whom shall we go?”
*ACTS 9:31-42; PSALM 116; JOHN 6:60-69*
On behalf of the twelve Peter responded to the question of Jesus saying; “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:68). Peter said this because some of the disciples were offended by Christ’s teaching and turned away from him. The statement, “Lord, to whom shall we go” is as relevant and urgent today as it was two thousand years ago. Many men and women had tried to find out to whom they should go but arrived at Jesus. Many have gone to many places but found peace and rest in Jesus. Beloved, do you find Jesus’ teaching too hard to bear? Do you feel like trying other options? Let us go to Jesus – He is the way, the truth and the life!
In the first reading Peter manifested fullness of life in Jesus by healing many who were sick. Aeneas, who bedridden for eight years was restored and Dorcas was raised back to life. What do you want? Are you in pains? Are you troubled? To whom shall we go? Come to Jesus and be saved.
LET US PRAY
Father, you know the troubles of our hearts, have mercy and save us. By the Holy Spirit teach us to remain and abide in Christ that we may obtain our heavenly inheritance. Amen.
