ACTS 15:7-21; PSALM 96; JOHN 15:9-11
“Remain in my love” Jesus asked his disciples to remain in his love. How can this be? We can remain in his love only when we keep his commandments. We cannot claim to love God and not keep his commandments. In the first reading, the early Church practiced love. They decided not to make things more difficult for the pagans who turn to God. We too must learn to be charitable with laws. Love before law. This does not to abolish the law but prioritizes the salvation of souls.
LET US PRAY
O God, help us to overcome pride and anger in all things; give us a willing and ready heart to do your will, direct us by the Holy spirit to spread love everywhere. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
