FALSE TEACHING AND BEHAVIOUR
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, 14-17; Psalm 96; Matthew 23:23-26
Paul urges the people to stay true to Christ and not allow false prophets, particularly those who teach about the end of the world, to deceive them. We must warn people away from the end-time prophesies and teachings that are prevalent today. We need to be steadfast and adhere to the apostolic teachings amid times of adversity and spiritual deception.
Jesus rebuked the scribes and Pharisees for their false practice. The Pharisees and Scribes are symbolic of religious authorities who are preoccupied with rules and procedures but neglect justice, mercy, and faith as well as the most important commandment of love. They try to control God by using religion, which is far worse. Beloved, rejecting incorrect teaching and false behavior is very crucial.
LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, help us to reject false behaviour and instruction. Amen.
