False prophet
2 Kings 22:8-13, 23:1-3; Psalm 118; Matthew 7:15-20
Jesus warned crowds against false prophets, who disguise themselves as sheep but are ravenous wolves. This warning is relevant in today’s world, where people disregard prophets’ authenticity for personal gain.
False prophets and faithlessness in Christians can lead to exploitation. Believers who don’t know their God will be exploited spiritually, materially, emotionally, and financially.
In the first reading, the people rediscovered the Book of the Law in the temple and brought it to King Josiah. He quickly ordered the people to abide by the law. True Christians should abide by biblical laws and teaching. Don’t be deceived!
Let us pray
Grant, O Lord, that we may always revere and love your holy name, for you never deprive those you set firm on the foundation of your love. Amen
