BEING AGENTS OF GOD’S LOVE
Songs 2:8-14; Psalm 32; Luke 1:39-45
In today’s world, we often rely on agents to facilitate various aspects of our lives. However, as Christians, we are called to be agents of God’s love, care, and healing.
The first reading beautifully illustrates the loving relationship between God and His people. Similarly, in the Gospel, we see Mary embodying this role as an agent of God’s love, visiting her cousin Elizabeth and bringing joy to her home.
We too can be instruments of divine visitation, spreading love, peace, and joy to those around us. As we strive to be sincere representatives of God’s love, let us be motivated by selflessness and kindness, rather than personal gain.
During this Advent season, let us make a conscious effort to visit our loved ones, share with them, and bring happiness to those around us. Let us also remember to visit the sick, the imprisoned, and, most importantly, Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Prayer
In your goodness, Lord, listen to your people’s prayer. As we rejoice in the coming of your Son in flesh and blood like ours, grant that when he comes again in glory we may receive the gift of eternal life. Amen
