FROM SIN TO SALVATION
1 John 5:5-13/Psalms 147:12-13, 14-15, 19-20/Luke 5:12-16
Today’s readings invite us to reflect on the healing power of Jesus and the importance of seeking salvation.
In the Gospel reading (Luke 5:12-16), we hear the story of a man suffering from leprosy, a disease that separated him from others. Similarly, sin is the leprosy of the soul, separating us from God. But Jesus offers us healing and cleansing. The question is, are we willing to let go of our sins and come to Jesus?
The first reading (1 John 5:5-13) reminds us that the greatest testimony of a person is the salvation of their soul through Jesus Christ. Beloved, let us be willing to seek salvation and come to Jesus. Let us end our addictions, overcome our vices, and live holy lives.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, give us the grace to do your will and seek salvation. Amen!
