1 Corinthians 5:1-8; Psalm 5; Luke 6:6-11
Jesus miraculously restored a withered hand to normality. The scribes and Pharisees rose against it because of protocol and structures of the Law. Every law must give expression to love and compassion; the key principles of the Gospel message. Let us stretch out our hands to express love and compassion to the needy irrespective of persecutions. Let us correct the ills of our time without fear of rejection. More so, like St. Paul we must rebuke the immorality that is trending today.
Let us pray
God our Father, You redeem us and make us Your children in Christ. Look upon us, give us true freedom and bring us to the inheritance You promised. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
