Apocalypse 1:1-4, 2:1-5; Psalm 1; Luke 18:35-43
In the first reading, the Church in Ephesus is told that even though it worked hard for the faith it does not love as much as it did in the past. We are reminded that we cannot slip back to our old ways but must keep striving forward towards heaven. We cannot give up the heavenly race. In the Gospel, Jesus gives sight to a blind man because the man had faith and asked to be cured. God can restore our spiritual sights and if we have faith then we can ask anything of God and he will answer us.
Let us pray
Be thou glorified oh Lord my God. Father, in the name of your son Jesus, we ask that you increase our faith in you. Help us to remember that you are a mighty God able to do what we cannot do. Help us to develop intimate relationship with you through prayers and charity. Amen. Saint Margaret of Scotland, pray for us
