RESORT TO JESUS
2 Samuel 18:9-19:3, Psalm 86 and Mark 5:21-43.
In the gospel, Jarius and the woman with the issue of blood resorted to Jesus and they got the best result. Who do we resort to? The woman had been to many places for solution but got the best result from Jesus. Why do we run around?Additionally,, the first reading speaks of the tragic end of Absalom. A man who never wanted to resort to the plan of God. Absalom signifies “the father of peace” or “the peace of a father.” But unfortunately, he did not give his father peace. He was his father’s favorite, he was so pampered and he became a spoiled child. This is a big lesson for many parents. Absalom’s story is one of pride and greed. He tried to overthrow the plan of God. Be careful with pride and greed!

Father, have mercy of us. By the power of the Holy Spirit may we find the best result. We ask this through Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.
