Isaiah 42:1-7; Psalm 26; John 12:1-11
Fr. Dan Evbotokhai
Our first reading points to Christ the fulfilment of the covenants made long ago. And so, the Psalmist calls Him our light and our help. In the gospel we see Mary anointing the feet of Jesus. There is something about Mary and Jesus feet that Judas don’t know. In John 11:32 Mary went to Jesus and wept at His feet. In Luke 10:39 Mary sat at Jesus feet. For Mary it was an act of worship; for Judas it was a waste. Friends, time and resources spent in worship are never wasted. Let us all gather at Jesus’ feet to worship and ask for mercy.
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Of a truth, God is worthy of our praise and worship. May we come to know that seeking, serving and worshiping Him is the ultimate in life. Lord, thank you for loving us. You are awesome🙏 lord….
