HOMILY FOR MONDAY: 6TH WEEK OF EASTER

Acts 16:11-15; Psalm 149; John 15:26-16:4

In first reading, through the Holy Spirit Paul could witness to Lydia. In the gospel, Jesus assured about the presence of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, no one can witness to Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the principal agent of the Church’s evangelizing activity. The Holy Spirit helps all of us to live, spread and defend our faith. Come oh Holy Spirit and renew us. Amen

Let us pray

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen.

Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heartI embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
