5. Holy communion energizes the body and eliminates weakness and exhaustion.

7. Holy Communion unites us more closely to Christ and the heavenly hosts.
8. Holy Communion is a continuation of the Incarnation – Christ coming to dwell in us.
9. Holy Communion imparts actual graces and increases sanctifying grace in the soul.
10. Holy Communion serves as a reminder of Christ’s ultimate atonement and the New Covenant that he has made possible for us by spilling his blood.
11. Holy Communion gives us strength to withstand temptations and grace to practice virtue – an antidote against the poison of sin.
12. Holy communion plants the seed of a magnificent future resurrection within the body.
13. Holy Communion is the celebration of our union in Christ.
14. Holy Communion is the proclamation of the Lord’s death and resurrection and His coming in glory.
