HOMILY FOR WEDNESDAY SECOND WEEK OF EASTER

Acts 5:17-26; Psalm 33; John 3:16-21

The first reading speaks of the apostles’ imprisonment and their miraculous deliverance. God never abandons his people. The gospel text says God so loved the world that he have his only Son. Thus, deliverance and salvation awaits those who believe in Him. The onus is on you! John 3:18 says He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
