HOMILY FOR TUESDAY SECOND WEEK OF EASTER

Acts 4:32-37; Psalm 91; John 3:7-15

In the first reading for today we get a glimpse of the early Christian Church. They were of one heart and soul (Acts4:32). Jesus had said to his disciples, by this everyone will know that you are my disciples (Jn 13:35). The real test of our Christianity is not daily masses but genuine love and Charity towards one another. Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus is continued in the gospel. Jesus gave him introduction to Christianity. “You must be born from above.” We must seek rebirth in Christ for salvation.

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
