Isaiah 30:19-21, 23-26; Psalm 147; Matthew 9:35-38, 10:1, 5-8
Isaiah speaks on the miserability of life and the God’s gracious love and care for his people. Precisely because of this care, Jesus taught and preached in their town and villages. We too need to preach God’s gracious love and care for his people. The harvest today is rich and each of us have a role to play in the building up of the kingdom. Let use our various dispositions to spread the Good News of the kingdom. Let us express sincere compassion for people. There are souls to rescue, there are souls to save. Christmas becomes more meaning when we are able to touch the lives of others positively.
Let us pray
O Holy and Eternal God, in whom Mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your Mercy in us so that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent, but with increasing confidence, submit ourselves to your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.
