Simon and Jude
Ephesians 2:19–22 |Ps.18| Luke 6:12–19
Before Jesus chose His apostles, He spent the night in prayer. Heaven was consulted before men were selected. True decisions are born on our knees through radical prayers and critical thought. Prayer precedes purpose, and revelation comes before selection. When you kneel before God, you rise with divine direction.
Today, we celebrate Simon the Zealot and Jude Thaddeus, they were men of fire and faith. They followed Christ with passion and sealed their witness with blood. Their lives remind us that discipleship without sacrifice is mere admiration, not imitation.
St. Paul tells us we are “built upon the foundation of the apostles.” The faith we stand on today was paid for with sweat and blood. Don’t take it lightly; defend it, live it, and pass it on! What they built with sacrifice, we must not destroy with negligence. The Church stands firm when believers stand faithful.
Prayer
O Saints Simon and Jude, intercede for us, strengthen our faith and courage to stand firm in Christ. Amen.
