HOMILY FOR TUESDAY Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

 Peter 3:11-15, 17-18; Psalm 90; Mark 12:13-17🔥🔥🔥🗣
In  the first reading, we are encouraged to live worthy life and resist false preachers.  These are men who have turned Christianity to a business enterprise and entertainment industry. In the Gospel, Jesus was asked about paying tax to Caesar. He told them that they should pay money to Caesar because his head is on the coin, but they must give to God what belongs to him. So, we are reminded of our religious and social obligations. A good Christian is also a good citizen. Obey God and respect the law of the land. However, when State laws are at variance with basic Christian beliefs.  May We find the courage to stand by our convictions. Lord Jesus, give us the grace to follow  you.

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.
