The Unstoppable Gospel
Acts 5:17-26; Psalm 34; John 3:16-21
“The men you imprisoned are in the Temple, preaching to the people.” Peter and the other apostles were imprisoned for preaching about the risen Christ, but miraculously, they were set free. No one can imprison the news about the risen Christ, and no one can stop the work of evangelization.
Throughout Scripture and the history of the Church, there have been many attempts to terminate the spread of the Gospel. However, the Gospel has always prevailed mightily. In our time, these attempts manifest in various dimensions, such as politics, religious bigotry, and terrorism. Despite these challenges, let us continue to proclaim the risen Christ.
Our circumstances should not hinder our divine mandate. Paul and Silas sang and prayed in prison (Acts 16:25), and Paul wrote several letters while imprisoned. Regardless of our situation, let us make Christ known and lovable. The Gospel tells us that “God sent his Son into the world so that through him the world might be saved” (John 3:17). How can the world be saved if we don’t preach? (Romans 10:14).
Let us continue to preach through words and deeds, that many may come to believe in Him and be saved.
Let Us Pray
We beseech Thee, O Almighty God, to empower us to declare the majesty of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. Strengthen our faith, break every yoke of limitation, and grant us dominion over every challenge. We decree victory and success in every area of our lives, in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
