Take courage
Acts 19:1-8 | Psalm 67 | John 16:29-33
“Take courage! I have conquered the world!” (John 16:33)
These are not just comforting words from Jesus, they are a battle cry! A divine call to stand tall, stand strong, and walk through the fire without fear. Jesus didn’t sugarcoat the truth, yes, you will face trouble. Yes, persecution will come. But He says, “Be confident. Be undaunted. Be filled with joy!” (John 16:33, AMP)
Why joy? Because the kingdom belongs to those who are persecuted for righteousness! (Matthew 5:10) Why confidence? Because the Holy Spirit is in you, and He doesn’t sponsor fear! (2 Timothy 1:7).
Listen, the world may shake, systems may collapse, but you must not. Confidence is not arrogance, it’s spiritual intelligence! You know who you are. You know who is in you. Paul knew it. That’s why he marched into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom (Acts 19:8). That’s Holy Ghost confidence at work!
Let me provoke your spirit a little: Why are you hiding your light? Why are you apologizing for your faith? Why are you shrinking in the face of pressure? If God is for you, why are you still afraid of them?
Rise up! The Spirit in you is not a timid whisper, it’s a roaring fire! It’s time to stop living like a victim when you’ve already been declared victorious. Jesus has already conquered the world, so why are you still bowing to it?
LET US PRAY:
Holy Spirit, consume our fears. Fill us with divine boldness. Renew our minds, strengthen our hearts, and ignite in us the courage to stand firm. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
